Tech Sgt. Retired John Hill

John Arthur Nathaniel Hill transitioned on Saturday, September 2, 2023. Our beloved father, husband, grandfather, and friend was age 85 at the time of his transitioning

John was born on November 29, 1937 in Raleigh, North Carolina to the late Willie hill and Mary Maynor. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and Dorothy Hill (his wife).

John was a deacon at Emmanuel Chapel of Hampton, Virginia, where he attended until his health failed him.

From 1956, until his retirement in 1979, John served as a military police officer in the United States Air Force. From 1979 until a second retirement in 2000, he worked at the Patrick Henry Airport Police Commission as a police officer.

On December 1, 2008, John was joined in holy matrimony to Ann Hill.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory; two children: Christine “Chrissie” Manning of Fredericksburg, Virginia and John “John John” A. N. Hill of Temple Hill, Maryland, Annie Owens, and others; three loving stepchildren: Katie E. Bates, Tony Dyson, and Nicole Smith; three godchildren: Willie Riddick, Stephen Pierce and Vernita Pierce, and a host of extended family and friends.

It is the desire of the  Hill  family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
