SGT (RET) Leon Nixon

Sgt. (Ret) Leon Cornilus Nixon of Hampton, Virginia transition at home on Monday May 2, 2022. Sgt. Nixon was born in Norfolk, Virginia October 27, 1938. He was the son of the late Williams McCoy and Louise Nixon. Besides his parents, he was proceeded in death by his son Michael Nixon and step-son Willie Hamlett.

Sgt. (Ret) Leon Cornilus Nixon served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer. Sgt.  Nixon also were employed by the Hampton VA. Hospital until he retired.

Sgt. (Ret) Nixon was a long-time faithful member of Miracle Temple Church where he met the LOVE OF HIS LIFE Mrs. Mary Hamlett Nixon where the two was join into Holy Matrimony. He served as a faithful member in the Men Ministry, the Church Choir and served as the Treasurer of the Men Fellowship Ministry.

Internment with Military Honors will be held on May 31, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Albert  G. Horton Jr., Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk, VA.
