(Retired) SFC Ronald Dixon Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Lee Dixon, born on the 19th of July, 1961. He transitioned peacefully on the 20th of May, 2025 at 63 years old. He was the cherished son of James and Shirley Dixon.

Ronald is preceded in death by his brother Monte “Beep” Dixon. Ronald is survived and missed by his mother Shirley Dixon, and his sisters: Teresa Dixon and Cassandra McElroy along with his children: Vanessa Jones, Ashley Dixon, Kiea Dixon, and Montel Dixon, and was looking forward to welcoming his first grandchild Auracle Green.

At the age of 25, Ronald enlisted in the Army where he served for 20 years before retiring at the rank of E7. Having received his Master’s of Aeronautical Science from the esteemed Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Ronald continued his work in aviation even after retirement from the military.

In life, Ronald, affectionately known as “Mac,” was a kind, generous, and hardworking man. A gentle yet firm father, the life of the party, and a light to all who knew him.

Throughout his life, Ronald touched the lives of many. He will be remembered for his love of family and friends alike, his passion for music and the ability to put a smile on anyone’s face. His memory will forever live in our hearts.

It is the desire of the Dixon family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
