Shannon Hampton, 55, peacefully departed this life surrounded by the love of her family. Shannon was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence brought strength, laughter, and love to everyone around her. She was known for the deep love she had for her family and especially for the way she protected and cared for those she loved.
Shannon leaves behind her beloved son, Carl Thomas Jr., who was the pride and joy of her life, and her cherished granddaughter, Chosen Thomas, whose presence brought her immense joy and happiness. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Evangeline Lockhart, Demetrice Hampton-Ellington, and Kerry Randolph; and her brother, Haile Hampton Jr, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Hampton; her father, Haile Hampton Sr; her sisters, Crystal Hampton and Vanessa Hampton; and her brother, Timothy Settle.
Shannon will be remembered for her strength, her love for family, and the lasting impact she made on everyone blessed to know her. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace.
