The Life and Legacy of Ramona”
Mrs. Ramona Maria Bullock Hawk, daughter of Ruth Carol Brooks and the late Harold Dunn was born August 19,1965 in Newport News, Virginia. Ramona heard the Master calling her from this earthly life of labor to an everlasting life of peace, joy and love on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at the age of 58. Ramona was affectionately known as “PooPoo” to her family and friends.
Ramona was educated in Newport News Public Schools. At an early age, she was baptized. Ramona was an active member of Soul Winning Disciples Ministry in Newport News, Va. She understood the importance of having a relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Chirst. Ramona was an Evangelist at heart. Wherever she would go she would spread her love of God and her love of the gospel of Jesus Christ as well as telling people about her Pastor and Prophet whom she loved. When she met someone she would always invite them to come to church. She wanted everyone to have the experience of getting to hear and know Jesus.
Ramona had a heart of gold, a funny personality, and she made witty jokes. You were never a stranger when Ramona met you. She gave unselfishly to others without concern for thanks or rewards. She left a great imprint on the hearts of people, she was one of a kind. She loved traveling, going to Bingo, concerts, camping, and crabbing but most of all she loved spending time with her family; especially her children and grandchildren. She never ended a telephone conversation without saying, “I Love You.”
Ramona was preceded in death by: her father; Harold Dunn, grandfather’s James Webb( who raised her) and James Cecil Bullock, great-grandmother’s, Ada Fields Johnson and Mary Bullock, and her mother-in- law, Helen Lane.
