Ms. Patricia Gale Bailey

Ms. Patricia Gale Bailey peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on May 5, 2021 at Riverside hospital in Newport News, VA where she was also born and raised.  Born on July 19, 1954, Patricia was affectionately known as “Tiny or Pat” to family and friends.  She was a loving, humble, and most caring person who never knew a stranger.  She was an excellent cook and loved to cook for her family on any occasion but she always made the holidays special.  Patricia spent time working as a caregiver and enjoyed taking care of her patients until her health began to decline.  Tiny loved spending time with her family and welcomed anyone into her home with open arms.  The love and care she extended to others knew no limits as did the love she had for her family.  

She is preceded in death by her mother, Francis Bailey and father, Leon Bailey, her sisters, Rosa Grey and Gloria Green, brothers, Fred “Jake” Futrell and Robert “Bobby” Futrell.

She leaves to treasure her memory sons, Demetrice Bailey and Anthony (Catrina) Bailey; granddaughter, Antoinette Bailey, great grandchildren, Nas’ir Bailey and Kar’cion Curry, her sisters, Glynnis Jones and Doris, a beloved friend, Roger Easter, a loyal friend Diane, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

A walk through viewing for Ms. Bailey will be held from 1:00 p.m. until  5:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 at C.C. Carter Funeral Home. Inc. 

Services for Ms. Bailey will be held at noon on Saturday, May, 15, 2021 at Restoration & Faith Ministry, 2114 Wickham Ave, Newport News, Virginia with Pastor Thurman Leonard presiding.

COVID-19 restrictions will be followed. 

Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
