Ms. Pamela Everette Obituary

Ms. Pamela Everette,  known by many as “Pam”, was a loving mother and a dedicated caregiver.  She was born on the 7th of October 1965, in Newport News, Virginia to Carolyn Everette (deceased) and Robert Hunter (deceased).  As a child, she spent her life growing up in Albany, New York with her mother and two brothers.  After some time, she decided to move back to Newport News.

Pamela attended Menchville High School in Newport News, Virginia. She would have to leave school earlier than expected, however, as a natural fighter, this did not stop her; she would go back to school to get her GED. She dedicated her life to taking care of her two daughters.  As a single mother, she worked very hard to provide for them.  Pamela secured her Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to start a career as a school bus driver.  Unfortunately, after some health issues, she was forced to give up that job. However, always being dedicated to assisting others, she became the permanent care giver for her adult brother and sister.

Pamela was a warm-hearted individual, a fighter and protector, a devoted mother and grandmother and lover of her family. She enjoyed cooking. Her favorite television show was Gun Smoke. She liked western movies & music. She had an act for doing funny little dances. Family time, board games (while making up her own rules), and checking in on others to make sure everyone was alright, was part of the things that made her an amazing person.

On Wednesday, June 17th at the age of 54, God called Pamela home to gain her heavenly wings.  She is survived by her two daughters: Mrs. Ebony Butler (Terry) & Mrs. Precious Bentley (Patrick). Her seven grandchildren: Reginald Thomas, Ahnesty Butler, Jasmine Baker, Precious Everette, Tiela Everette, Patrick Bentley & Christopher Bentley. Her two brothers: Elias Everette & Albert Everette, five sisters: Vertella Everette, Debra Jackson, Yolanda Campbell, Sherri Hunter, & Khali Smith and a host of family members and love ones. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Everette, father, Robert Hunter and Grandson, Terry E. Butler, Jr.

She will forever be loved and truly missed.
