Ms. Margaret Harvey Obituary

Ms. Margaret Mae Harvey, affectionately known as "Cool Breeze" by her late son-in-law Jacob Wills and cherished by many, peacefully entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Born February 20, 1945, in Appomattox, VA, to the late Beatrice F. Jones, Margaret's life was a testament to grace, strength, and an unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Educated in Appomattox and later at Carver High School in Newport News, VA, Margaret found her greatest joy in family. Her marriage to the late Herman Lee Harvey on December 16, 1960, marked the beginning of a beautiful chapter filled with love and cherished memories.

A dedicated and hardworking professional, Margaret retired from Newport News Shipyard after a distinguished career spanning over two decades.Beyond her professional accomplishments, Margaret's vibrant spirit shone through in her love for simple pleasures of life. She found beauty in the smallest details, from the captivating hues of purple that delighted her soul to the thrill of discovering a hidden

treasure during her shopping adventures at Wal-Mart and Food Lion. Music filled her heart, and she cherished attending concerts and sharing laughter with loved ones over delicious meals. Margaret's departure leaves an undeniable void on the lives of those she cherished.

Her loving presence will forever be felt by her daughters, Theresa Harvey and Renee Wills; grandsons, Rodgerick D. Harvey (Ashley) and CorDara O. Wills (Ashley); nine cherished great-grandchildren, Jason, Roderick Jr., Joshua, Adanah, Kennedi, Carter, Aiden, Aamoni, and Reagan; sister, Shirley Kennedy; niece, Vonyetta Lee; nephew, Le'Var Kennedy; sisters-in-law, Eloise Jefferson (Melvin) and Vanessa Butler (Hercules); brothers-in-law, Milton Harvey (Kim) and Kenneth Harvey; special friends, Loretta, Jennifer, and Sonya; and a vast network of beloved relatives and friends. Though her physical presence may have departed from this earth.

Margaret's legacy of love, faith, and joy will forever endure in the hearts of those she touched.

It is the desire of the Harvey/ Wills families that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
