Ms. Lucille H. Rawles

Ms. Lucille H. Rawles went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 18, 2018 at James River Convalescent and Rehab Center, in Hampton , VA. She was born June 8, 1941 in Newport News, Virginia.

Ms. Rawles attended Newport News Public Schools and she graduated from Huntington High School Class of 58. For years Ms. Rawles worked in the field of domestic house keeping.

She attended Calvary Community Church as well as Love and Hope Christian Church-Christ Temple. Ms. Rawles was an avid bible scholar and cross word puzzle queen.

Ms. Lucille H. Rawles was preceded in death by her mother Fannie Rawles, her father Elmore Dickerson, brothers Thomas Rawles, Junious Rawles, Elmore Rawles, and James Hall. Her sisters Ruth Hunter, Alma Watkins, Alberta Hall, and Hattie Bell.

Left to cherish her memories her devoted son Benjamin Rawles, her loving daughter Ruth Douglas, grandchildren Stephen, Tiffany, Talisha, Benjamin Jr., Elijah, Emmanuel, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A special thanks goes out to her nephew Elmore Rawles Jr. for sitting with her and helping out with care.

Services for Ms. Lucille H. Rawles will be held Noon Monday December 31, 2018 in the chapel of C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc. 3314 Roanoke Avenue Newport News, VA., by Minister Michael Carter.

Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens

Viewing for Ms. Lucille H. Rawles will be held from noon until 5:00p.m. Sunday December 30, 2018 at the chapel at C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
