Ms. Katie Perkins

Ms. Katie Perkins, born to Liberty Harper and Willie Perkins on June 15, 1951, made her transition peacefully on February 7, 2026, at age 74. Katie was a beloved mother, sister, and friend, known for her bright light, beautiful smile, joyfulness, and kind heart.

A devoted Certified Nursing Assistant with more than 40 years of healthcare service has made a positive and lasting impact on her community and those she served. Katie loved spending time with her family, making memories filled with love, laughter, and life gems. She enjoyed a good card game and a seat at the bingo table where she could spend hours saying “that’s a good one!”.

Katie is survived by her two daughters, Angela Fuller and Denise Wiggins (Stephen); her four granddaughters, Eliza (DJ), Victoria, Shannon, and Ebony; six great-grandchildren, Honesti, Dae’Jon, Brandon Jr., Aniya, Breathtaking, and Chozen. She was preceded in death by her parents and eleven siblings . We find comfort in knowing her legacy lives on through the lessons she taught us, the love she shared, and the memories we will forever cherish.
