Obituary

Ms. Janice Faye Lewis, affectionately known to family and friends as "SweetPea", slipped quietly away and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Easter Monday, April 18, 2022 following a long courageous battle with cancer.

 

Janice was born April 20, 1971 in Nash County, North Carolina to the late Linda Mae and Jimmy Brown.  She was also preceded in death by her older sister Patricia Ann Lewis, grandmother Mary Louise Lewis and great-grandmother Olivia C. Linzy.  Also preceding her were her uncles Timothy and Tommy Lewis, great-uncle Comiller Cooper (Violine (deceased)), and great-aunts Dora Fluddie Alston (Robert (deceased)) and Christoria Linzy.

 

She leaves to cherish her memories six. sons, Charlie Lewis (Yapromise), Marcus Lewis, Percy Haney, Christopher Lewis, Marion Lewis (Skyy) and Danielle Lewis and one daughter, Mary Lewis.  Also left to cherish her are eight grandchildren, A'ziyah, Jaidon, Josiah, Yamar, Nevaeh, Serenity, Zah'Mari and Ze'Lani; two brothers, Larry Brown (Kesha) and Alonzo Brown, one aunt, Minister Geraldine Battle (David), three uncles; Charlie Lewis (Lois), David Lewis (Brenae) and Robert Lewis (Goldie), two great-aunts, Della Fox and Linda Linzy.  Memories will also be held by special nephew, Tremaine Lewis, special nieces Lanjel and Lamyia Brown, special cousins Janice Hooker, Libra Linzy and special friend Damien Robinson as well as a host of other family and friends.

 

The family of Ms. Janice Lewis has entrusted her final care to C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
