Ms. Finna Dye

Ms. Finna Dye transitioned on Friday, March 21, 2025, at her home in Hampton, Virginia.  

On February 7, 1961, at Fort Bliss Military Base in El Paso, Texas, Finna was born to her father, William H. Dye, a career Army man, and her mother, Aretha Dye.

Because of her father’s career, she was raised all over the United States and spent the majority of her childhood in Germany. Her father passed away in November of 1988.

Finna was warm, funny, and had a deep love for all kinds of music, a passion inspired by her father, who exposed her and her sister to many genres. She was also an amazing dancer and had a lifelong appreciation for the arts. In addition to her artistic talents, Finna was a passionate gamer for the game Secondlife and loved her gamer family dearly.

Finna leaves to cherish her memory three daughters: Eronda Wilson, Autumn Knall, and Melody Terhune; six grandsons; six granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister, Torrena Dye; her mother, Aretha Dye; her uncle, Sylvester Dye; her son-in-law, Robert Terhune; and many beloved cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Finna loved them all, and they all loved her. She will be forever loved and missed.

It is the desire of the Dye family that you keep her in  your thoughts and prayers.

The family of Ms. Finna Dye has entrusted her final care to C. C. Carter Funeral Home.
