Earnestine Woods, 84, went home to be the Lord on Monday, September 6, 2021 at The Landing in Hampton, Virginia. She was born May 22, 1937, to Hoe and Elizan Craig (Stewart) on a plantation in Mount Heaven, Alabama. The oldest of five children. Sister Craig attended school in Lake Providence, Louisiana until moving to Dallas, Texas. She was married to Eddie Woods for 15 years.
Known as “Nuke”, she resided to Newport News, Virginia on May 20, 2015 with her niece, Deborah Hawkins. She had a feisty and fiery personality and enjoyed watching TV with her niece. She loved to dance to hole in the wall music with Takesha Quash and Deborah Hawkins. She would spend her time being feisty and being loved by the people that were around her.
Earnestine Woods is survived by a Very Special Friend (11yrs) Ruth Flowers; her son, Jerome Patterson; nephew Junior; niece Deborah Hawkins; nephew, Antoine Wright; and great niece, Mattie Rush.
