Ms. Dorothy Mayfield

Ms. Dorothy Andracia ‘Dracia’ Mayfield was born on September 25,1989, to Stacy McGill and Andre West. She transitioned on January 18, 2025 at the age of 35.

Dorothy attended Kecoughtan High School in Hampton and Virginia Peninsula Community College (both in Virginia) at which she received her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked many years in the food industry at Hampton University. Dorothy dedicated a significant part of her career working in childcare. She was creative and loved to do arts and crafts. She also enjoyed doing hair. Dorothy was passionate about taking care of children.

Left to cherish her memory her mother Stacy McGill (David); her father Andre B. West; her long-time friend Akeem Robinson; and her children A’shia Mayfield, Akeera Majeed, Aideen Majeed, A’mori Dunn, A’moru-Demure Sevvy Dunn; her sisters Kizjuana Harris-Tillman, Ashanti Harris-Tillman; her brothers Curtis Mayfield (Brittany), Anthony Tillman, and Darnell Mitchener; grandparents, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends who loved her dearly.

It is the desire of the McGill, Mayfield, and Majeed families that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
