Ms. Dorothy Hines

Mrs. Dorothy M. Hines, affectionately known as “Dot” was born on January 1, 1940, was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, aunt and great aunt who lived her life for those she considered family.  She was fiercely independent, strong-willed and strongly supported her family. 

She peacefully departed this life on December 3, 2021. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters; Sylvia and Patricia Moore, three sons; Johnnie (Joycelyn), Joy Maurice and Fred Moore and Roy Hines “Feedy” Hines, Jr. (deceased); a special niece, Faye Moore, ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and a host of loving and dedicated nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and friends.

Viewing for Mrs. Hines  will be held from 11:00a.m. until 2:00p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at C.C.Carter Funeral Home, Inc. 

Services for Mrs. Hines will be held 11:00a.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church 1415 Big Bethel Rd. Hampton, VA. by Dr. Christopher C.Carter Sr., 

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
