Ms. Danielle Hackney

We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Danielle Hackney, who was born on June 8, 1982, in Hampton, Virginia, and passed away on July 17, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of Bruce and Karen Hackney. She also is the sister to Erin Hackney, Carmen Hackney, and Bruce Hackney Jr. Danielle was a devoted mother to her five children, Naseem Heath, Jasmine Heath, Ellissa Heath, Jace Claud, and Jhonni Claud. She adored her family and always put their needs above her own. Her children brought her immense joy and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Danielle was also a proud grandmother to five grandchildren Giovanni, Malani, Kaiden, Kamila, and Ama’zi who brought her endless happiness and pride. She loved spoiling them with treats and hugs, and they adored their "Gma" more than words can express. Danielle had Aunts, Uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her Grandmothers Gladys Hackney and Elsie Clary.

Danielle attended Kecoughtan High School, and was a proud member of the graduating class of 2000. There she acquired lifelong friendships with many of her fellow classmates. Those of which she remained in contact with. Danielle had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. Her infectious smile and friendly personality could brighten anybody's day.

While we mourn the loss of Danielle, let us also celebrate the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and her memory will forever be cherished.

Rest in peace, Danielle Hackney. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
