Mrs. Cynthia Celestine Harris-Mann, born December 6, 1940, in Newport News, VA, to Timothy Harris Sr. and Ada C. Dickerson-Harris (both deceased).
The day she was born, she did not come alone. With her, was a twin brother, Timothy Harris Jr. (deceased). She received her formal education from Booker T. Washington elementary and Huntington High School. While, in high school, she was a professional singer for the band Tim played guitar for, called The Rocking Cabanas. In her younger years, she loved to ride her motorcycle. And in her later years, she became a T-shirt designer. She was a pillar, a cornerstone in her neighborhood. She fed anyone who knocked on her door, in need of a meal. Her kind heart and soul will never be forgotten. She loved LIFE.
She was baptized into the Christian Faith under the leadership of Pastor Lee and First Lady Helen and was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church and remained a faithful member throughout her life.
Cynthia has five children - Charles Mann the third (deceased), Carol Mann Norfleet (deceased), Curtis Mann of Florida, Carl Mann of Hampton, Va, Catherine Mann-Tatum of Jacksonville, Fl. She has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cynthia was preceded in death by her siblings - Leola K. Langford; Agnes E. Gatling; Amie L. Taylor; Martha L. Walker; Timothy Harris Jr.; Oswald A. Harris. To cherish her memory, is her baby sister, Zakiyyah Waheed-Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, near and dear friends.
