Ms. Christine Ashlock Obituary

Ms. Christine Shirelle Ashlock was born to the late Herbert Ashlock and Margie Lee Ashlock on December 25, 1968. She departed this earthly life on Monday, April 20, 2026. Her transition was peaceful after battling pancreatic cancer.

She was preceded in death by her Father Herbert Ashlock, Her mother Margie Lee Ashlock, an elder brother Herbert Bernard Ashlock (Gloria), Alan Pierre Ashlock and elder sister Sheila Ashlock. She is a professed Christian and was baptized May 16, 1993 at El Shaddai Soul Saving Station and Outreach Center in Newport News, Virginia. She attended Canaan Worship Center until illness kept her from participating in services. She regularly watched them live through streaming services. After dropping out of school in the seventh grade, Christine obtained her GED.

from the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1990. She then went on to receive a Business Associate Degree from Penn Valley Community College in 2004 in Kansas City, MO. She obtained a host of workforce development certificates. She received her Pharmacy Technician license from the Missouri Board of Pharmacy May 2001. Her last place of employment prior to her sickness was with McCormack Barnon In Kansas City, MO where she resided for twenty seven years. Due to her illness, she returned to Suffolk, VA to be cared for by family members.

Christine leaves to cherish her memories with her only child Christopher Sherrod Ashlock. Her cherished grandsons Josiah Daniel Rivers and Noah Zieyre Ashlock. Her siblings Carlton Dale Ashlock, Donald Darrell Ashlock, Reginald Ashlock, Lawrence Kevin Ashlock, Jacqueline Ray Ashlock, Renee Lassiter (Sidney), Shirley Thomas (David), a sister n law Gloria Ashlock along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.

I would like to mention a few of her closet's friends Vickie Bisbee, Sandra Bolton, Leah Motley and Corrine Gee . These women supported her like family while she resided in Kansas City, MO for the last twenty seven years. Our family thank you all for your support, love and care for Christine in our absence. We will forever be grateful!

To honor Christine's request the family will hold a private direct cremation without a viewing or funeral service. We know this might be hard but we want to respect her wishes. We want to encourage everyone to take a moment and reflect on a fond memory of Christine to honor her life. ~ The Family
