Ms. Brianna-zhane Manigault-King Obituary

Ms. Brianna-Zhane Manigault-King entered eternal rest on May 31st, 2022. An angel has returned to heaven. It has left family and friends deeply saddened, but we are confident that she is safe in the Master’s arms.

Life’s Journey for Brianna began on October 11, 1997, in the Bronx, Borough of New York. The daughter of Sharesse Davis and Jamil Manigault. She received her formal education in Newport News, Virginia. Graduating from Heritage High School in 2016, with honors, she continued her education at Roanoke College and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry as a major, minoring in Spanish in 2020. Brianna completed a specialized program for her Masters of Management & Organizational Leadership degree at Penn State University in 1 year. She accomplished a solid educational foundation.

Brianna was a lovely, spiritual Christ-like young lady who loved to sing and found “Music was the escape from all the world’s confusion and madness”. She lived and portrayed a quiet spirit, available and ready for Help ministries. Brianna loved to paint and was very creative. She loved the Lord and loved helping others on their spiritual journey. She was an intelligent, kind and sweet individual. Consistently dedicating her time towards leadership, establishing and helping others:In addition to her scholarship responsibilities with Roanoke College Main Street Group, she sang at variety shows, talent shows and even found paid gigs. Brianna was inducted to the Roanoke Media Arts Hall of Fame in 2020. She loved to sing and was awesome.

She loved traveling, and had the opportunity to visit many places around the world, visiting multiple continents, islands and vacationing with family and friends. She was privileged to spend six weeks in Spain hiking over 18 miles, learning and immersing in the culture and improving her Spanish.
She found organizing spaces and processes interesting. She designed and organized many aspects of her home for fun.

She began her entrepreneurial aspirations by helping to develop Singles Unlocked, a Christian group for single young women with her best friend, Amber.
In Roanoke, she established her entrepreneurial background by couponing and selling goods to her classmates. She prided herself in being able to get her "hauls" in for less than $5. Brianna also donated her goods to the less fortunate.

In 2020, her love for natural hair encouraged “Tangles Hair Care Club” and launching her own company “C-R-O-W-N-E-D, LLC”. She held podcasts and gave hair care advice virtually even during the COVID pandemic. Her vision for life was above and beyond the average.
God canceled all earthly plans and fulfilled His heavenly plan. Brianna accomplished much in a short time. She was destined for greatness and had the potential to be even greater. She extended her love to others by helping family, offering childcare, house-related tasks, and even pet sitting. To Know Her was to Love her.
