Angela Renee Fitzgerald was born on Sunday, September 10, 1961 in Newport News, Virginia. She was the first born of Theodore & Maurice Fitzgerald. Angela received her wings and entered into eternal rest on September 10, 2022.
Angela received her education in the Hampton Public School system. She graduated from Hampton High School Class of 1979. She attended V.C.U. and majored in Social Work. She later received an Associate’s Degree from EPCI in Accounting.
Angela accepted the Lord at the early age of twelve while attending Wesley Grove United Church of God in Newport News. After years of life experiences, she rededicated her life at age 31. God used HIS vessels: her dad, T.D. Jakes, Joel Osteen, Dr. Stephanie Hampton Credle, and Pastor Rashad Cartwright to transform her life. As she grew closer to God, she found the love, acceptance, and peace she had been longing for her whole life.
God chose Angela to be the proud mom of Anthony Jerod Fitzgerald, and Antoine Jerryl Hilliard. God later blessed her with six (6) grandchildren: Taylor Renee Hardoman, Aijalon Jamal Fitzgerald, Shania Lauryn Fitzgerald, Samoya Linda Fitzgerald, Raizen Joseph Hilliard, and Aaric Ryland Austin. After years of fake friendships God chose to bless Angela with a real do/die best friend Donna Grant. And finally, she was blessed with experiencing true love with the love of her life John Pressley. All left to cherish her memory are mother Maurice Fitzgerald, along with sister Bonita Ward (Maurice), nieces (Rachanee Fitzgerald, Rachelle Fitzgerald and Mia Ward) & nephews (Andre Fitzgerald, Derrick Fitzgerald, and Brandon Ward), extended family, friends and Las Amigas Sisters.
The heartbeat of Angela’s life can be described by two songs she loved: “If I can help somebody as I travel along …” and “Lord, if You can use anything You can use me.”
It is the desire of the Fitzgerald family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
The family of Ms. Angela Fitzgerald has entrusted her final care to C. C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
