Mrs. Tracy Davis Wyckoff was born November 6, 1969 to Mary Elizabeth and Cecil Ward (deceased). She grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. At age twelve, Tracy was adopted by her Stepfather Lemuel Davis. Later the family welcomed Tracy's younger sister, Leslie, into the family.
Tracy graduated from Cox High School in 1987. During high school, she was a member of the Madrigals Chorus where she learned to read music. She was also Captain of the Drill Team which accompanied the high school marching band. Tracy continued her education at James Madison University (JMU) in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She pledged Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated there and she also earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Hotel/Restaurant Management.
After her college graduation in 1992, she began her career with a prestigious job offer from Stouffer Hotels. Tracy's 31 year career in the hotel industry took her first to the Chicago Renaissance Hotel in Chicago, Illinois, followed by JW Marriott Hotel in Houston, Texas, and then back home to Virginia in 1999 at the Williamsburg Marriott. She held various job titles in several hotels including Director of Sales, Banquet Manager, Sales and Catering Manager, and Guest Services Manager. Her last position was with the Sonesta Simply Suites in Hampton, Virginia where she served as the Director of Sales.
While employed at the Williamsburg Marriott, Tracy met the love of her life Ron. They were engaged in 2004 and got married on September 25, 2005, the anniversary of her adoption. Their union gave life to a daughter, Taylor Michelle Wyckoff in 2009.
Tracy loved to travel whether by plane, her SUV, or on the back of Ron's motorcycle. She frequented places like Graceland in Tennessee and Disneyland in California. She was always ready for an adventure. Tracy would drive her vehicle across the country or wherever she wanted in order to be with her family, especially for Thanksgiving. She genuinely enjoyed attending opera performances. She also had a love for cooking, trying new cuisine, country music, going to the movies and riding roller coasters, especially with her daughter, Taylor.
Tracy's earthly adventure ended on November 18, 2023. She leaves behind her husband, Ron Wyckoff; a daughter, Taylor Michelle Wyckoff; her parents Mary Elizabeth and Lemuel Davis; a sister, Leslie Davis; parents-in-law, Ronald and Pearl Wyckoff; a brother-in-law, Christopher Wyckoff (Kim); nephews Miles Wyckoff and Maxwell Wyckoff; a niece, Lauren Wyckoff; and a multitude of other family, friends and colleagues.
