Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Monica Parker was called home to be with the Lord on Dec. 30, 2025, at the age of fifty-nine.
She was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH to the late Edward and Dorothy Martin. Monica graduated from Princeton High School in 1984 and later joined the U.S. Navy in 1988 where she proudly served honorably for twenty years. Monica accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1998. She married Vincent Parker in 2000 where they shared and raised five beautiful children. They both joined Kingdom Ministries Church in the year 2000, under the leadership of its visionary and founder, Apostle Dr. Letricia King-Brown where they faithfully served for over twenty-five years. Her commitment and dedication to ministry led to her being licensed as an eldress in 2013.
After she retired from the U.S. Navy, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources from Saint Leo University in 2014. In 2015, she began her civilian federal career at Naval Station Norfolk at the Personnel Support Detachment. In 2018, she transferred to the Department of the Air Force as a Unit Personnel Coordinator where she retired for a second time after completing ten years of civil service.
She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Martin, father Edward Martin, brother Edwin Martin, and sister Carol Cunningham. Monica leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted husband Vincent Parker, their five children, Talesha Lee, Vincent (Brooke) Parker Jr., Jaylan Parker, Joy Parker, and Emmanuel Parker, a loving step-mother, Johnnie Mae Martin, seven siblings, Carneithia (Sanford) Green, Clarence Cunningham, Carmella (Kendall) Chapple, Crystal (James-Nelson) Estes, Kimberly (Ivan) Sutherland, Kellie (Brian) Fortes, Karyn Davis, five grandchildren, Aanye, Ayden, Mia, Aubri and Jayce, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Her brother Terence Martin succeeded her in death.
She loved people and had a heart for helping people. Her beautiful smile and loud laughter could fill any room. Monica co-authored a marriage ministry column in the quarterly publication Kingdom Living Magazine. Her greatest passion was in outreach ministry - reaching the lost, encouraging others, and sharing the love and salvation of Jesus Christ.
Her favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
