Mrs. Margaret Scoggins

Mrs. Margaret Edmonds Scoggins, 97, of Newport News,  VA. slipped away to rest with our heavenly father after being placed on hospice at home, November 23, 2021. 

She was born on April 7, 1924, to William and Alice Edmonds in Halifax North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband Luther Scoggins and son Wallace Edmonds, and nine siblings. 

She leaves to cherish her memories daughter,  Brenda D. Scoggins (Hampton Health and Rehabilitation) two granddaughters Walesha L. Edmonds (Newport News) and Chenita Gillis (Karl) (Hampton), special nieces and a nephew she raised,  Dietra D. Edmonds (Hampton), LaMonica L. Edmonds (deceased) Unek J. Harris (Ronald) (Newport News),  Devante Edmonds (Newport News), Tracey R. Edmonds (Hampton), Kayla N. Edmonds (Hampton) and Denaja R. Edmonds (Newport News)  and sister-in-law Jacqueline Edmonds  Rocky Mount , North Carolina)
 

Viewing for Mrs. Scoggins will be held from 1:00p.m. until 5:00p.m. Thursday,  December 2, 2021 at C.C.Carter Funeral Home. Inc.

Services for Mrs. Scoggins will be held noon Friday, December 3, 2021 at Christian Union Church 3206 Chestnut Ave, Newport News, VA. by Dr. George Spicer.

Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
