Mrs. Lydia M. Stith was born on September 11, 1955, in Wilson, North Carolina to the (late) Herbert Myles and Irene Pender Myles.
On Sunday, Feburary 16, 2020, God called Lydia home peacefully. Lydia graduated from Hampton High School in 1973. She attended Thomas Nelson Community College for two years receiving her associate degree in Social Science. She was employed with Riverside Behavorial Health Center. Over the years, Lydia cared for many people as she worked as a Transcriptionist in Medical Records. She was a kind person with a huge heart and a beautiful personality.
Lydia was preceeded in death by her father Herbert Myles and brother Anthony Myles . She is survived by her mother Irene Pender Myles of Newport News, VA. She leaves to cherish her loving and devoted husband of 35 years from Newport News, VA, Larry Lee Stith. Also left to cherish her memories are her children, her oldest son Willie Twine of Hampton, VA, Daughter Deidre Myles of Newport News, VA, youngest son Nehemiah Stith of Newport News, VA, and step-son Larry Stith (Laticia) of Hampton, VA. One brother, Kenneth Ray Myles of Newport News, VA, One uncle Roscoe Freeman of Atlanta, GA., Two sister-n-laws, Eunice McCoy of Atlanta, GA , and Erma Goff of Newport News, VA. Two brother-n-laws, Ricky Stith of Hampton, VA and James Stith of Newport News, VA. Nine grandchildren, the joys of her life, Janiah, Sade, Kareen, Malik, Kevin, King, Nehemiah, Jr., Brea, and LaJoya . She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends, and one special friend Sandra Nelson of Washington, D.C.

Viewing for Mrs. Stith will be held from noon until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2020 at C.C. Carter Funeral Home. Inc.
Services for Mrs. Stith will be held noon Monday, February 24, 2020 at C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
