Mrs. Lizzie L. Bunn

Mrs. Lizzie L. Bunn transitioned this life on Monday December 23rd, 2019.  She is the daughter of the late Mrs. Daisy Clark-Allen-Dickerson and the late Whit Allen.  She is predeceased by her first husband Hayes C. Robinson, Sr. and her subsequent husband Louis E. Bunn, Sr., and her son Louis E. Bunn, Jr.

Mrs. Bunn is a graduate of Huntington High School, Class of ’47.  She is a native of the Hampton Roads Community.  She retired from Huntington Ingalls (Newport News Shipyard).  Mrs. Bunn served as President of the Federation of Women’s Association and President of the APWU Postal Auxiliary (Chapters: Local, State and National).  In addition, she worked the Election Polls at Hart McAllister Community Center, Newport News Virginia for many years.

She leaves to cherish her memory one brother, Robert Whit Allen of Atlanta Georgia; three sons; Hayes C. Robinson, II (Sandra); Danard W. Bunn, Sr.; and Donovan K. Bunn, Sr.; and three daughters Dr. Pamela B. Bunn-Butts (Robert); Lisha J. Bunn-Synaker (Christopher); and RoseMarie L. Bunn; and devoted daughter-in-law Linda C. Bunn.   Also, several adored and cherished grandchildren and great-grand-children, and a host of nephews, nieces, and many highly thought of cousins and friends.
 

A viewing will be held from noon until 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2019 at C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church, 1415 Big Bethel Road Hampton, Virginia by Dr. Christopher C. Carter, Sr.

Entombment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
