Mrs. Lillian Bailey

Lillian F. Bailey, daughter of Frank and Madgie Fitts departed this earthly world to enter eternal peace on November 21, 2018. She was born on June 22, 1935 in Warren County, North Carolina. She received her early education from the public schools in Warren County and graduated from North Carolina College (North Carolina Central University) in 1957.

Lillian also known as “Tweet”, was a devoted, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, God-mother, aunt and friend. Celebrating her life and memories are her daughters, Dinette Bailey of Richmond, Sharon Bailey of Hampton, her sons Fernando Bailey(Rhonda) of Hampton, Marquez Bailey of Richmond, Walter Bailey(Elizabeth) of Durham, NC and Alvin Bailey (Mechelle) of Newport News, a sister, Danetta Fitts of Winston Salem, NC , nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, one future great-grandson, a special lifelong friend, Christine Battle, god-daughter, Teresa Griffin and a host of nieces and nephews.

The Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Lillian Bailey will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 1, 2018 at Wesley Grove United Church of Christ.  2308 Roanoke Ave, Newport News, VA. by Pastor Antonia Newsome.

The family will gather at 100 Bayhaven Drive, Hampton, VA at 10:00 a.m. on December 1, 2018.

Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m Friday November 30, 2018 at C. C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.

Interment will be at Hampton Memorial Garden.
