Mrs. Juanita Veale Obituary

Mrs. Juanita B. Veale,

An angel has returned to the loving arms of Jesus. It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Juanita Bouler-Veale of Hampton, Virginia. She was dearly loved and will be dearly missed.

Juanita Bouler-Veale the daughter of the late Samuel and Ruby Bouler was born on April 21, 1940 in Newark, New Jersey. On Sunday, June 20, 2021 she transitioned to be with her heavenly father surrounded by family after a gradual decline in health, she was 81 years old.

“Mrs. Nita” as she was affectionately called was educated in the Newark Public School System. She worked at Bloomingdale’s as a culinary specialist until she retired. After she retired, she took a job at a local pizza spot in the Valley Fair shopping center until she moved to Virginia.

Nita met and married the late John Henry Veale on September 4, 2002. They moved to Newport News, Virginia in 2004.

Mrs. Nita was a devoted mother and wife who raised five children on her own. She was well known on Prince Street as the "Protector" of the children in her neighborhood in Newark and there are many stories to be told about that.  She instilled a strong work ethic in her children and loved her family with all her heart. She enjoyed reading romance novels, crossword puzzles, shopping at thrift stores, watching soap operas and riding around in her car, "people watching" was what she called it.  Life was never dull for her; she enjoyed her life to the fullest and embraced all people.  But don’t mess with "Mrs. Nita" she is not the one. One of her favorite sayings was “It don’t mean a hella beans to me”, we are still trying to figure out what that is supposed to mean “LOL”.  The legacy of her life and love is filled with wonderful memories.

Juanita loved spending time with her family and friends, and was usually the life of the party.  She had a kind heart and warm smile.  She was willing to lend a hand and always gave great advice. Mrs. Nita, you will continue to live on in our hearts and minds until we see each other again.

Preceded in death were her parents; husband John Henry Veale; daughter Deborah Bouler and grandson Jerome Clark. She leaves to cherish her everlasting memories one great aunt Leola Smith of Newark; two brothers Samuel Bouler (Johnnie Mae) and Marshall Bouler; four children, Hakim Bouler (Michelle) of Pennsylvania, Calinda Griffin (Carlton) of Hampton, Maurice Bouler of Hampton and Marshall Bouler of Newark; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
