Mrs. Emily Carter

Visitation service scheduled for September 9, 2021 at 5p.m for family and 6p.m for friends at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 542 W 52nd Street Anniston, Al 36206 (Alabama Time). The funeral service will be Friday September 10, 2021, 11a.m at Chapel Hill funeral home. Followed by a graveside service around 2 p.m. at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens. 581 Veterans Memorial Hwy SE. Mableton, Ga 30126 Emily Mechelle Cowart Carter, was 29 years old. She was born 2/21/1992, on 9/04/2021 at 8:21 p.m. Emily succumbed to her injuries at UBA hospital.

Emily is survived by her four children, Trinity, Zillah, Akria and Evan Carter; her sister, Erica Bakston; her father, William B. Cowart and her grandfather, Amos L. Entrekin.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Tracy Carter Jr. , her mother Amy Cowart, and grandmother Eleasia Entrekin.

Emily was born on February 21 in 1992, to parents Amy Cowart and William Cowart. She graduated Douglas County high school on 03, 2005 holding her daughter Trinity as she walked across the stage. Emily was a wonderful loving mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend. Emily was always smiling. Emily loved her children. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She said being a mother. was the best part of her life. Emily didn’t have a easy childhood. She wanted to give her babies the world. She over came so many obstacles. Life was not easy for her but through all the hard times Emily still held her head high.

Emily will always be remembered as the goofy little bit she was. She was the light, she always could make you smile. Emily always tried to see everything better. Emily would always say she was fine even when she wasn’t. Emily was beautiful, kind, loving and goofy. She could light up a room, she will truly be missed. She might be gone but never forgotten.
