Mrs. Dorothy M. Porter

Dorothy Powell Porter, at the age of 91 years old passed away peacefully on May 9, 2023, at Riverside Regional Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her parents the late Clyde and Jeannette “Sallie” Powell, her beloved husband Lawrence “Peter” Porter, her son, Lawrence “Squeak” Porter, sister Juanita “Baby Jo” Harrell. Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age and was faithful member of First Baptist Church East End.

Dorothy leaves treasured memories with her son, Marvin Porter; daughter-in-love, Carolyn Tyler Porter; sister, Geneva Branch; eight grandchildren. Quintin Johnson, Tara Porter, Jade Porter, Demar Porter, LaToya Yeargans, Shawn Jefferson, LaKeshia Love and Briana Little; eleven great grandchildren; two sister-in laws, Evelyn Banks, and Toni Redcross; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
