Mrs. Barbara Vaughn

Barbara Ann Porter Vaughn also known as “Barbran or Bobbie” to her family transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday, the 24th of January. She was born in Winton, North Carolina to the late Zeb and Madgie Porter. She attended elementary school, in North Carolina and graduated from the home of the Mighty Huntington High School Vikings in Newport News, VA class of 1963.

Barbara leaves to mourn and cherish her memories; her three children Chris (Ratonya), Barry, and Kim, granddaughter Kyler, two sisters Evelyn Banks (Elwood) and Toni Redcross, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her husband John M. Vaughn, her parents, Zeb and Madgie Porter, her in-laws Willie and Marnie Vaughn, two sisters Clarice Ruffin and Yvonne Lyons: six brothers Collis, Oscar, Lawrence (Peter), Zeb Jr, Walter, and Melvin Porter.

It is the desire of the Vaughn family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
