Mrs. Annie Ruffin

Mrs. Annie Ruffin was born in Newport News, Virginia on June 29, 1938.  She attended Newport News Public Schools graduating from Huntington High School.

She married the love of her life, Cornelius E. Ruffin in the early fifties and from this union four children were born to which all survive her.

Annie loved caring for people leading her to become a Registered Nurse working in Mary Immaculate for over 40 years until retirement.  Annie’s nurturing talents led her to be a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother and aunt.  She also loved stitching and gardening.

Annie is predeceased by her loving husband, Cornelius Ruffin.  She leaves to cherish her memories daughters:  Corneitta Clark (Brad), Diane Ruffin, Gracie Rascoe (Keith) and one son: Cornelius Jr. (Debra).  Cherishing her memories will also be her sister, Sylvia Bailey (Tezell); 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 5 nephews and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to thank Kim and Sherry from Sentara Hospice as well as her aide Jamell.

The family Mrs. Annie Ruffin has entrusted her  final care to C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
