Mrs. Ann Peck Obituary

Mrs. Ann Peck passed away peacefully with Jerry by her side on April 17, 2023.

Ann was born on October 20,1947 in Jamesville, NC to the late Welton and Eva Hopkins Arnold. At the age of 12, Ann relocated to Brooklyn, NY where she graduated and went on to serve in the Army Reserves. She met and later married her solider, Retired Lieutenant Colonel Jerry Phillip Peck Jr. on January 1, 1983. Ann and Jerry over their 40 years of marriage enjoyed some 15 years of military assignments in the U.S. and overseas.

Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, godmother, and friend. She served as a Deacon and active member of the Health and Wellness Ministry at both Living Waters Christian Fellowship and Restoration Christian Church. She worked more than 30 years in personnel administration positions and was the first African American female mail carrier in Beckley, WV. Her contribution to her church family and community has been heartfelt and invaluable.

Ann was dedicated to holistic health in many ways. She had both undergraduate and graduate degrees but was most proud of her post graduate work in Integrated health medicine and naturopathic education. She was a consultant/distributor of Nature Sunshine herbal supplements and a firm advocate for a whole-health approach to life. She believed in educating and sharing spiritual wisdom through her training and healing touch.

Ann was loved by many and will be deeply missed. She had a passion for reading and surrounding herself with the Word of God and positive affirmations, of which she continually shared and exuded to those close to her.

Ann leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Jerry Peck Jr., daughters, Tonia Murrell (Adrian), Erica Nickens (David); siblings, Willie Arnold (Mary), Carolyn Armstrong (Glenn); grandchildren, Tylan Murrell, Aryn Murrell, Amari Murrell, Kingston Nickens, and Dawson Nickens; godchildren, Jennifer Whitelock, Kaquana “Bambi” Neal, and James “Jay” Battle; and many cousins, other relatives, and friends all of whom she loved affectionately. She was preceded in death by her brother, Welton Arnold Jr.

It is the desire of the Peck family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
