Mrs. Alisia Victoria Nixon was born August 6, 1984 in San Antonio, Texas to Oliver Davis, Jr. and Arletha Davis. Our beloved Alisia Victoria “Tori” Nixon transitioned this life on September 13, 2023 at 3:17 pm at Landmark Hospital in Athens Georgia.
Alisia was a military bratt. The benefits of living in multiple states and abroad (Texas, North Carolina, Okinawa Japan, and Virginia) was influential in the development of her life.
She was baptized in Okinawa, Japan in the Pacific Ocean at Torii Beach.
Alisia graduated from I.C. Norcom High School (Magnet Program), Portsmouth Virginia, with the second highest GPA (Salutatorian) second only to one of her Best Friends for Life Rasheda (Valedictorian). She pursued and successfully completed her undergraduate studies at The College of William & Mary, and her MBA at Troy University. While in college she pledged and crossed over as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She was a member of the local Lambda Gamma Omega Chapter, Virginia Beach, Virginia. She loved her sorority.
Before facing multiple life-threatening illnesses she had a successful professional career at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield as Director of Program Management.
Alisia had a passion for scrapbooking and journaling. Always intentional about how she faced the world, she possessed an impeccable skill as a makeup artist. Her style and swagger lives on.
For 28 years Alisia battled with the complications of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, but never allowed her illness to stop her from living a loving and fulfilled life. She married the man of her dreams (Craig Nixon), they shared sixteen beautiful years together, twelve as husband and wife. Second to her marriage, the biggest joy of her life was the birth of her daughter, Audrey Claire Nixon on August 4th, 2018 (2 days before her birthday).
Alisia was the bravest, loving and most determined person our family has ever known. She lived life to the fullest in the classiest fashion imaginable, never a dull moment, never complaining or wasting time. She avoided engaging in senseless negative activities. Life was too precious.
Our beloved Victoria, Tori, Belle, Snuggle Bunny, Princess and other names she’s affectionately known by, will be missed. We are blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of and impacted by her life.
She leaves to celebrate her life and legacy: her beloved husband of 12 years, Craig Nixon; one precious/remarkable daughter, Audrey Claire Nixon; her parents Oliver and Arletha Davis; two siblings, Oliver Davis, III (Ashley), and Stephanie D. Davis; her in-laws Clyde and Janet Nixon; two sister-in-laws, Dawn Moore (Eric), Kimberly Jeter (Reginald); one brother-in-law, Mark Nixon; five nieces MacKenzie Pedigo, Ashanti Nixon, Amaya, Leila, and Leah Jeter; four nephews, Kaleb and Kaiden Pedigo, Braxton Davis, and Dominique Langston; seven Aunts, Olivia Hinton, Camaceya Jordan (Robert), Jacqueline Williams, Sharon Munford, Glenda Boyd, Tracy Robinson, Faith Mitchell; seven Uncles, Thomas Lassiter (Bertha), Darnell Lassiter (Brenda), Ray Charles Lassiter (Brenda), Lindsey Lassiter, Mikell Snooks (Marilyn), Wilbur Flagler (Priscilla), Johnny Flagler, Leonard Jones, Jr. and Wayne Robinson; three Great-Aunts; and a host of cousins, devoted friends, and sorority sisters (AKA).
