Mr. Yul Tyler

On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, heaven gained a very special angel. Yul Dimitrius Tyler Sr. departed from this life onto a better journey. Yul was born July 29, 1973 in Hampton, VA., to Wilfred Tyler (Fella) and Myra Jones.
 

Yul was vibrant, lovable, and a DIE HARD DALLAS COWBOYS FAN! He was educated in Newport News Public Schools and he was a master roofer with Harris & Harris Roofing Company for many years. Yul devoted his life to Christ and attended Little Bethel Baptist Church. Though he is no longer with us in flesh, he will always be with us in memory, spirit, heart, and soul. 
 

Yul was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Winifred Tyler, maternal grandfather, Theodore Perry, his father, Wilfred Tyler, his mother in law, Pam Warren, his sister, Alicia Smith, brother, Kareem Jones, and friend, Lavell Singleton.

Yul leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Gerita. His children, Tashira, Yul Jr., Yurie, Rash’d, and Rahsaun. His mother, Myra Jones, his grandsons, Jamir, Darion, Jadien, and Kadien. His brothers, Jermaine, Brandon, Eric, Raymond, & Bryan. His sisters, Javona, Tamiko (Poppy), and Ashley. His step mother, Wanda Brown. His bonus mom, Linda Tyler. Grandmothers, Frances and Mary Lee. Uncle, Lewis Tyler (Diane), his Father-in-law, George Warren, his “Best Friends”, Daymon, Kenyon, and Jimmy, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

His loving smile, open heart, and caring ways will be missed by all. 

Viewing for Mr. Tyler will be held from 2:00p.m. until 5:00p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at C.C.Carter Funeral Home, Inc. with no more than 10 individuals at any one time.

Services for Mr. Tyler will be held 11:00a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church 1415 Big Bethel Rd. by Dr. Christopher C. Carter Sr. Masks are required and practice social distancing 

Internment will be private per family request.

It is the desire of the Tyler family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
