Mr. William T. "Dicky" Pritchett 55, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. He was the son of the late William Bush and Rosetta Satchell. William was preceded in death by his son Pierre Dickens and his sister Joyce Ann Pritchett.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 38 years Doris, daughters Takela and Ashley of Newport News, VA.; grandchildren Xyona, Xyania, Miracle and Nola. His beloved mother Rosetta Satchell, brothers Milton Pritchett (Daisy) and Michael Pritchett, sisters Shelia Smith, Belinda Walden and Teresa Pritchett, mother-in-law Verlene C. Dickens, sisters-in-law Phyllis Bradshaw (Andre); Marilyn Etheridge, Tawana Williams (Elester); brothers-in-law Moses Dickens, Jr. (Keisha) and Derrick Dickens. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
"Dicky" grew up in Newport News, VA., and graduated from Menchville High School "Class of 1982". He joined the United States Marine Corps and served three and a half years. Dicky was a gifted tradesman and very skilled with his hands. His passion was carpentry, roofing and home improvement. He never left a job undone. Dicky was a very meticulous craftsman, he took pride in his work and he didn't like working behind anyone. He loved his family unconditionally and he was an excellent chef. He never met a stranger and walked to the beat of his own drum. Dicky will truly and deeply be missed by all who know and loved him. "Rest in Peace Dicky."
