William Edward Corbin, Sr. was born on November 11, 1936 to the late Cleveland Henry Corbin, Sr. and Lucille Johnson Corbin. William Edward Corbin was the husband to the late Shirley Mae Corbin (Newport News, VA) and the brother of the late Cleveland Henry Corbin, Jr. (Chesapeake, VA). William is survived in wake of his home going are his brother, Charles Corbin (Hampton, VA), his sister Georgia Mae Corbin (Orlando, Fl), and his five children, William Edward Corbin, Jr., wife Clarissa (Williamsburg, VA), Cleveland Alexander Corbin, III, wife Myra (Newport News, VA), Anthony Quinn Corbin (Newport News, VA), Michael Antoine Corbin (Houston, TX), Demetrius Ansara Corbin (Houston, TX), eight grandkids, ten great grandkids, two step-grandkids, one step great grandkid, and a host of nieces, cousins, and friends.
Our dad, also known as “Shorty, Pops and Monk” knew and touched many lives, as evident of your presence here today. Many people can probably tell many stories about our father and how you came to know him. The children knew him as “Pops”, our dad, a great hard working, do- everything- for- his-children man.

A walk through viewing for Mr. Corbin will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
A Graveside Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2700 Parish Avenue, Newport News, Virginia 23607.
