Mr. Wallace A. Tucker

Mr. Wallace Anthony Tucker age 66 passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 8, 2019.

Wallace was born December 14, 1951 to Josephine and the late Mr. Wallace Tucker Sr., in Newport News, VA.

Wallace attended Newport News Public Schools and graduated from George W. Carver High School in 1970.

Wallace served two branches of the military both the Army and the Navy. Wallace Anthony Tucker was dedicated to his profession as a candy truck driver for over 30 years. 

Football season was one of the most exciting times in his life, Wallace was an avid "Steelers" fan. He was a wonderful son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend.

Wallace loved his family and spending time with his friends playing cards, dining out and just riding around town.

Wallace leaves to cherish his memories his wife Mary Tucker, loving mother Josephine Tucker, devoted daughter Katina Godfrey (Jarmaine), his caring sisters Gwen Ellison (Lewis), Rhonda Tucker (Kevin) of Hampton, VA; Mary Chapman of Newport News, VA; and Phyllis Tucker of Hampton, VA. 

Wallace was preceded in death by his father Wallace Tucker Sr., of Portsmouth, VA., his siblings Deborah Jefferson, Earl Tucker and Stanley Tucker of Chesapeake, VA. 

Wallace also leaves behind his grandchildren Dontario Tucker, Jivondra Tucker, Joseph Tucker (Trevonia), Jotazha Tucker, Kevina Tucker, Kevin Tucker and Devonte Davis, eighteen great grandchildren and one uncle Author Barrett (Low) of North Carolina. 

Wallace leaves behind his god sisters Maria Brickhouse, Teresa Alexander, Sandra Miggia, Gloria Shaw, Denis Eley, Cookie Rouse and Rebecca Shaw.

His memory will be carried on by his special friends Toni Tynes and Hubert Whitaker (Linda) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Wallace Anthony Tucker will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest In Peace!
 

Services for Mr. Tucker will be held noon Friday, April 19, 2019 at Wesley Grove United Church Of Christ at 2308 Roanoke Ave, Newport News, VA. 

Interment with military honors will follow at Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery. 

Viewing for Mr. Tucker be held from noon until 5:00p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2019 at C.C.Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
