On Saturday March 27, 2021, Terry Tee Pass, Sr., 84, was called to home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Terry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, uncle, and a friend to so many.
Terry was born on December 29, 1936 in Danville, Virginia to the late Francis and Jerry Pass. He moved to Newport News, Virginia in his early childhood and attended Booker T. Washington Elementary School. He later graduated from Huntington High School and attended Hampton Institute. He married his loving and devoted wife, Mary (Alice Mae), and moved to Hampton, Virginia where he resided until his death.
Terry was employed as a Head Custodian Supervisor with the Hampton School System for 16 years until his retirement in 2002. He was previously employed for years in food and catering services at Fort Monroe Chamberlain Hotel and Hampton University. This led to his catering business “Pass Family Catering.” Terry enjoyed fishing, going to the casinos, an occasional cigar, and cowboy movies. He was also a devoted member of the Marching Elite.
Terry’s wife of 49 years, Alice Mae, preceded him in death. He is survived by his five children, Pamela (Gregory) of Woodbridge, Virginia, Victor of Bothell, Washington, Tonja of Newport News, Virginia, Terry, Jr. of Hampton, Virginia, and Ronald of Oxon Hill, Maryland; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brothers-in-law Thomas, Wayman (Sandra) and Jerry (Sharon); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Terry was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
“God is calling me, I cannot stay,
My heart I yield, without delay.
Vain world, farewell, from thee I part
The voice of God hath reached my heart.”
It is the desire of the Pass family for you to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
