On Saturday, December 21, 2024, our dearly beloved Terry Jerome Fenner Sr. passed away peacefully at Consulate Healthcare of Norfolk, Va. .
He was born on April 10, 1964 in the city of Portsmouth, Virginia to the late Ernest Lee and Yvonne Fenner.
Terry attended Hampton and Newport News City Public schools and was an all star wrestler while attending Menchville High School. Terry was a Veteran of the United States Army and served his country with dignity and pride.
His love for music started at an early age as a toddler. He would beat on pots and pans and from there his musical career began. He released a CD along with the Revelation Choir in memory of his nephew entitled "Glory Land". He was baptized at a young age and then later baptized in Jesus name at Living Waters Redeemed Apostolic Church of Christ , Newport News, VA.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Lee and Yvonne Fenner and a brother, Ernest Clifton Fenner.
He leaves to cherish in his memories his three sons, Terry Fenner Jr (Alexandra Braxton) of Newport News, VA, Antonio Fenner (LaToya Parker) of Hampton VA and Ter-zahn Fenner of Columbia, SC, A stepdaughter, DaLana Southerland (Shawn) of Columbia, SC.
6 sisters, Carol Barnes (Phillip) of Yorktown, VA, Angeleca Ridley (Dennis) of Newport News VA and Cindy Ballard (Ellsworth) of Newport News, VA, Bathsheba Smithen of GA, Mahalia Jackson of Hampton VA, Tamarra Jackson (Johnathan) of MD, Five brothers, Darryl Fenner (Reglin) of Carrollton,VA, Jeremiah Wiggins of Newport News, VA, Caleb Jackson (Aliyah) of MD, Israel Jackson of PA, Elijah Jackson of Newport News, VA. Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren, nieces,nephews
cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of relatives. A special niece he helped raise, Diana Fenner. Dearest Lavonda Yarborough and Carmaletta Lewis.
It is the desire of the Fenner family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
