Mr. Roy “Olle Man” Bynum, 84, passed away peacefully at his home on February 23, 2024. He was born on August 7, 1939 to the late Eric and Minerva Bynum of Chapel Hill, NC.

Roy was a 1958 graduate of Lincoln High School in Carrboro, NC. After his military career, he became a civil servant aircraft mechanic at the Norfolk Naval Air Station, where he worked for twenty years before retiring.

Roy was the life of the party. He enjoyed line dancing, listening to music and fellowshipping with his Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club family. Roy loved the Lord and was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church in Chesapeake, VA.
