Mr. Ricky Rawles

On November 11, 2025, Ricky Rawles peacefully transitioned surrounded by his family. On June 16, 1957, Ricky was born in Newport News, VA to Thomas W. Rawles Sr. and Dorothy H. Rawles. Ricky was educated in the Hampton City School System. Upon graduating Bethel High School in 1975, Ricky joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1975.

Ricky leaves to cherish his precious memories to daughter, Jessica R. Rawles, son, William D. Rawles, and a very special grandson, Michael Rather Jr. “Bugz”, his mother, Dorothy H. Rawles, two brothers Thomas W. Rawles Jr. (Trudy), Michael Rawles (Iris) two sisters, Tina Smith, Teresa Jones (Dennis “DJ”), a special aunt, Sarah C. Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who Ricky loved dearly. 

Ricky is proceeded in death by his grandmother, Mildred H. Coles, Grandfather, William A. Coles, Father, Thomas W. Rawles Sr., Patricia Rawles, Lynwood Rawles, Pamela Rawles, Denise Jones and Paula Rawles.

A memorial service will be conducted at CC Carter Funeral Home on Saturday, November 22nd at 2pm. 

It is the desire of the Rawles family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
