Mr. Richard Fleming

Richard Dennis Fleming was born November 25, 1961 in Glen Ridge, NJ to Richard Dennis Wells and Joann Fleming.  He graduated from Nutley High School, Nutley, NJ.  He departed this life on May 20, 2021, at Riverside Hospital Newport News, Va.  Rick fought the good Fight of Faith.

Rick loved to fish, his beers and westerns.  He loved talking junk and telling jokes.  One of his sayings “My money funny and my credit not going to get it”.  Rick always was helping people out in any way he could.  He was a people person.  Some called him the “Mayor of our Street”.  He did floors/carpet and construction.

He leaves behind his devoted mother Joann Fleming (John).  Devoted sister Velma Fleming, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

                                                      When I must leave you for a little while

                                                  Please do not grieve and shed wild tears

                                                  And hug your sorrow to you through the years.

                                                  But start out bravely with a gallant smile;

                                                  And for my sake and in my name

                                                  Live on and do all things the same,

                                                  Feed not your loneliness on empty days,

                                                  But fill each waking hour in useful ways,

                                                  Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer

                                                  And I in turn will comfort you And hold you near;

                                                  And never, never be afraid to die,

                                                  For I am waiting for you in the sky!
