Racqez Alfred Shimeek Carter went to his heavenly home on August 24, 2021. He was born to Robert Earl Carter and Sineeta Best on March 19, 2001, in Newport News, VA. He was educated in the Newport News School system and was a graduate of Warwick High School in 2019. He was employed at The Greater Hampton Roads Boys and Girls and Club.
Qez, as he was affectionately called, loved coaching football and playing video games. He was full of life, always sharing jokes and laughing with those he came in contact with. He was such a giver and would do anything for anybody. He was a fashion enthusiast, he loved and collected Jordans and jackets. He had an infection smile. He had a big heart and love for his family, especially his aunt that he called, Ma Pooh Pooh, who raised him.
He was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Leroy Clyburn, Sr.; Paternal grandparents, Raymond and Irene Carter; uncles, Leroy Clyburn, Jr., Raymond, John, and James Carter and aunts, Flora Mae McAlford, Brenda Capair, Lillian Carter.
Raqez leaves to cherish his memory, parents, Robert Carter and Sineeta Best; mother figure and aunt, Gwendolyn Brodus; two sisters, Tiesha Best and Shateeqwa Flamer; three brothers, Rimeek Best, Uniek Best and Rah’Saan Carter; maternal grandmother, Betty Clyburn; aunts, Dorothy Davis, Frances Pryear, Anne Williams, Linda Dean, Jinia Leary, Royaleene Best, Shamecca Clyburn; uncle, Calvin Carter; god-mother, Cathy Henderson; neices, Mi’Amore Best, I’yanna Best and Imayla Faltz; nephew, I’Dora Flamer; special cousins, Meka, Cody, Weedy, Taliyuah, Da'Mia, Jaylin and Dakato; and a host of cousins, family members and friends.
It is the desire of the Carter -Best family that you would keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
