On Sunday July 14, 2019, God looked around His garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon His earth and saw a tired face. He put His arms around him and lifted him to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful for He always takes his best.
Paul Christian “Chris” McAden, was born with his twin sister on May 23, 1969 in Newport News, VA to the late Lt. Col Henry J. and Joyce A. McAden. He was a graduate of Phoebus High School, Class of 1988. Chris later worked several jobs throughout his life, where he became a jack of all trades. He was a handy mechanic, carpenter, and most importantly a trained chef. Chris attended Stratford University where he sought a degree in Culinary Arts. Chris took school serious and received the President’s List Award for earning a 4.0 in 2015.
Chris was a devoted family man that loved his boys with all his heart. He was proud to be a twin and the dynamic duo was able to celebrate their 50th Birthday together like only they could! He also carried a special bond with his sister Cindy, she was his second Mom.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Lt. Col Henry Johnson and Joyce Ann McAden, and brother-in-law Brian Wilson; He is survived by his sons, Paul Lassiter and Kyle McAden. His twin sister Pauline “Cee Cee” McAden; eldest sister Cindy Ferguson; brothers Mark McAden (Keith) and Ian McAden (Stephanie). Nephews Aaron (Genea) and Adam (Catherine) Ferguson, Ian McNair, Joseph Taylor, and his nieces Brittany Seminario and Amani Moore. He held special bonds with all his great nieces and nephews, Aaron and Audriannah Ferguson, Dyani, Jacob, and Ava Seminario, Camron and Monroe McNair, the mother of his children, Crystal Lassiter and her brother Nicholas, his puppy Nicco, best friends Vince Porter, Mornell Crawford, and Willie Meno Noize, as well as, a host of relatives, friends and acquaintances.
A viewing for Mr. Paul Christian McAden will be held from noon until 4 p.m Sunday, July 21, 2019 at C. C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
Services for Mr. Paul Christian McAden will be held noon Monday, July 22, 2019 at Restoration & Faith Ministry, 2114 Wickham Ave, Newport News, VA by Pastor Donnell Charity.
Interment will be private.
