Mr. Osha Clarence Copeland, affectionally known as “Pop,” was born on April 19, 2002, in Bronx, New York to Veronica Stephens and Clarence Copeland. He transitioned from this life on August 15, 2025, at his home in York, Pennsylvania.
Pop spent his formative years in Newport News, Virginia. He attended Newport News Public Schools and played baseball and football for the local Boys and Girls Club. He attended Shalom Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Derrick Perkins, Sr. Pop was active in the ministry of the church. He served as an Usher, a Junior Missionary, and a Mime Dancer.
He was also talented musically. He loved to write songs and record his own videos, which he did shortly before his passing. As the only boy of eight siblings, he was so adored (spoiled) by all family members. Pop was very sociable and to know him was to love him. He was the life of the party and loved to dance and make others laugh. He had a joyful heart and will truly be missed by all who knew him.
