Mr. Nelson C. Robinson

With heavy hearts, we mourn the transition of Mr. Nelson C. Robinson, who peacefully departed this life on Monday, March 24, 2025, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. He was 73 years old.

Nelson was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, a caring son, a loyal brother, and a treasured friend. Born on November 21, 1951, he was the beloved son of Annie Louise Brown and the late Roosevelt West, and stepson of the late Leroy Brown.

He leaves to honor his memory his devoted wife, Mary Patterson, and his loving children: Felicia Gilliam (Jeffrey), Nelson Patterson, and Jamal Patterson.

Nelson was a proud grandfather to Myisha Patterson, Khalil Patterson, Melani Patterson, Makayla Patterson, Nelson Patterson (Lil Nel), and Kionta Patterson, and a joyful great-grandfather to Mya Jacobs, all of whom brought him endless pride and happiness.

He is also survived by his siblings:  Ronnie Brown, Laveren Brown, Roy Brown, Gracie Brown, Terry Brown, Rachei Brown, Roosevelt Roderick West, Martin West, and Marvin West; and his sister-in-law Carmenihita West.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Edna Carlton and Chris Brown.

Nelson was known for his warm heart, his strong presence, and his dedication to his family. He brought laughter, wisdom, and love into every room he entered. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing and loving him.
