Mr. Michael E. Johnston

Mr. Michael Eugune Johnston was born on September 19, 1964, to the late General W. and Mary A. Johnston. He passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 60.

Michael attended Menchville High School in Newport News, where he developed lifelong friendships and made lasting memories. He was a fun-spirited soul with remarkable artistic talent as a sketch artist. With more than 20 years of experience in production, merchandise and machine assembly, as well as working as a receiving clerk, he dedicated a significant part of his career to being a skilled laborer and a First Marine Corps painter at Northrop Grumman. He loved soul food, and his ultimate treats were ice cream, milk, and cookies. He was an avid sports fan, and nothing matched the joy he felt listening to the smooth, soulful sounds of Frankie Beverly.

Michael is survived by his sisters Patricia (Charles) Alston, Vanessa Ann Gray, Teresa Crawford, and Darlene Williams; his brother John Johnston; and a host of nieces, nephews, additional family members, and friends whom he loved dearly.

It is the desire of the  Johnston family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
