Mr. Michael Crumble, AKA "Mike" or "Crump Dog" departed this life on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Sentara CarePlex. Mike was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Mike was born on June 10, 1971 in Newport News, VA to Shirley E. Crumble and the late Johnny Dorsey "Bud" Crumble, JR. He received his highest level of education at Ferguson High School. Mike enjoyed football, in which he played prior to becoming paralyzed. Mike was one of the biggest Pittsburgh Steelers fan around. He was rarely seen without his Steelers gear on.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Johnny Dorsey Crumble, Jr. Mike left many behind to mourn his loss on the list of those who grieve are his mother, Shirley E. Crumble, a son, Michael Underwood, a daughter JaQuanza Undewood, five granddaughters; Tah'Jay, Mickayla, J'aime, Malayasia, and Cherish; two grandsons; Jahri, and Jai'Zen; a dog daughter Ivy; one sister; Betty Clayton, three brothers; Alton Ray "Man" Dolberry, Donald, and Ronald, five aunts; Joyce, Ruth, Christine, Mary, and Patricia, one uncle; Holton, three nieces; Cassandra Crumble-Payton (Anthony), Lutece and Ysatis Dolberry, one nephew Kenneth, one great nephew, one great neice, his best friends Lavorne Gilliam Jones and Lamont Williams, and a host of cousins and friends.
Viewing for Mr. Crumble will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2020 at C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
Services for Mr. Crumble will be held immediately following the viewing, 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2020 at C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
Per request of the family interment will be private.
