On June 19, 1955 at Whitaker Memorial Hospital in Newport News, VA, Leroy Jr. was the first of six children born to Leroy Sr. and Naomi Logan. The family later moved to Washington, DC in 1960. His relationship with God started at an early age at Jericho Baptist Church where he was a member of the Jericho Youth Choir which later became the Jericho Young Adults. He attended Taft Jr. High and graduated from McKinley Tech High School in 1974. Upon graduation, he joined and served in the United States Army. After his discharge, Leroy Jr. began working for the federal government at FDIC.
Leroy met and fell in love with Paula B. Slade, and married November 10, 1994. They resided in the D.C./Maryland area and then moved to Chesapeake, VA before returning to Newport News, VA. Continuing his employment in Virginia, he worked for Walmart where he retired. Leroy’s faith in God never wavered. Leroy and Paula joined Christ Temple Holiness Church in 2010 where he became a Trustee and worked diligently in the church. He was extremely dedicated to his community in helping others. While serving in the Food Ministry at Christ Temple, he was determined that No One went hungry. His heart was as big as his smile.
Proceeding him in death, his beloved wife Paula B. Slade Logan, his brother Stephen (Stebo) Duane Logan, Sr. and his nephew Brian Logan.
He leaves to mourn, his parents Leroy Sr. and Naomi Logan. His daughter, Nakia Logan, and 2 granddaughters, Nijah Danea and Samaya Nicole. Three sisters, Judith Smith (Marvin), Kim Cooper and Angela Logan; one brother, Kevin B. Logan, Sr. (Crystal); Mother-in-love, Faye Slade; 2 sisters-in-love, Pamela Richardson and B. Denise Mitchell (Ricardo); Brother/Cousin William Morse; Sister/Cousin Sophia Baskerville; three Aunts, Ernestine Davis (Gene), Marion Dunn, Novella Lewis; one uncle Howard “Dickie” Bell (Rose), 5 nieces, 6 nephews, 3 great-nieces, 12 great-nephews and a host of cousins, family and friends.

Viewing for Mr. Logan will be held Friday, February 12, 2021. from 10:00a.m.until noon at Christ Temple Church, 4416 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News, VA 23607. A Private Funeral service will follow.
Interment with Military Honors will follow at Albert G. Horton Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
