Mr. George Holley Jr. "Junie" son of Mrs. Barbara Holley transitioned peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA.
George was born to Mrs. Barbara A. Holley and the late Mr. George L. Holley Sr. on January 24, 1973 in Ahoskie, NC. He graudated from Menchville High School Class of 1992 and later studied Culinary Arts at Deer Park. George was a skilled and certified mechanic, but he truly enjoyed cooking.
George was preceded in death by his father George L. Holley Sr., his grandparents Lottie and Linwood Holley, also Bessie and Willie Raynor, and his great grandmother Cora Rodgers.
George leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved mother Barbara A Holley, and his devoted sister Verdell Holley. Three faithful sons Raekwon of Lawrenceville, GA., Dazure of Hampton, VA., and Raysaynn of Newport News, VA., one loving daughter Kaminah of Hampton, VA., and his long time companion Tiffany Martell. George also leaves behind his nieces Jasmine and Lacey (Tyleek), his nephews Shaun and Alex, and great nephew Jamal. As well as his great nieces Alieyah and Raquel, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and The Creek Family.
Services for Mr Holley will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Christian Union Church, 3206 Chestnut Ave Newport News, VA. by Dr. George Spicer.
Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Viewing for Mr. Holley will be held from noon until 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 at C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
